AI engineering conferences and technical education
AI Engineer
AI Engineer produces technical conferences, workshops and free educational videos for developers, founders and enterprise architects building AI applications. Its event family includes the World’s Fair, Code Summit and regional conferences, complemented by independently organized partner events. Participants can learn about agents, evaluation, retrieval and infrastructure, explore developer tools at expos, and meet other practitioners. Free recordings and a newsletter extend access beyond the events.
Operated by Software 3.0 Inc, the organization was cofounded by Shawn Wang, its CEO, and Benjamin Dunphy, a conference organizer who created Reactathon and built Jamstack Conf. They launched the inaugural Summit in 2023. The organization grew from Wang’s Latent Space essay describing AI engineering as a software discipline built around foundation models. That framing emphasizes turning model capabilities into products, with application-specific data and evaluation as part of the engineer’s job.
AI Engineer reported more than 1.2 million unique YouTube viewers and 10 million views in 2025. As of August 2026, its website listed more than 100,000 newsletter subscribers and 200+ expo and sponsorship partners. These audiences complement an event business whose first World’s Fair attracted more than 3,000 attendees in 2024.
