YouTube API Data and Direct Comment Posting
AI Engineer Talks uses YouTube API Services to display public comments and lets you draft and review a comment before choosing to post it to YouTube. If you choose direct posting, Google asks you to authorize the YouTube permission shown on its consent screen. The resulting access token is used in your browser only to submit the one comment you reviewed. AI Engineer does not send that token to our servers or store it.
For the public discussion panel, AI Engineer requests public YouTube comment text, author display name and avatar, publication time, like count, and comment identifier. These public responses may be cached by our infrastructure for up to fifteen minutes, with stale responses retained for up to twenty-four hours to keep the page available if YouTube is temporarily unavailable. This read-only display does not require access to your Google Account.
The comment you submit is sent to YouTube and is then governed by your Google and YouTube account settings, the YouTube Terms of Service, and the Google Privacy Policy. AI Engineer does not use Google user data obtained through this feature for advertising, does not sell it, and does not share it with third parties.
We measure whether people open or complete stages of the comment flow using the talk slug, source video identifier, timestamp-option state, and success or failure stage. These product analytics never include your OAuth access token, Google or YouTube account identity, or comment text.
You can review or revoke AI Engineer Talks access at any time from your Google Account permissions.
