SOFTWARE 3.0 CODE OF CONDUCT

This Code of Conduct applies to all Participants, including attendees, speakers, exhibitors, sponsors, vendors, media, volunteers, staff, and guests who are attending any of our events including the AI Engineer World’s Fair, AI Engineer Summit, AI Engineer Europe, AI Education Summit, or AI Leadership Summit. It applies to all Event venues and affiliated spaces (physical or virtual), including sessions, breakouts, networking areas, social functions, digital platforms, and communication channels. All capitalized terms not defined here shall have their meaning in the Terms to which this Code of Conduct attaches.

Software 3.0, LLC (“Organizer”) is committed to providing a safe, respectful, inclusive, and harassment-free environment for all participants, regardless of race, gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, disability, physical appearance, ethnicity, religion, or any other protected status.

1. Expected Behavior

All Participants are expected to:

  • Treat others with respect and professionalism;
  • Use inclusive and non-discriminatory language;
  • Follow all health, safety, and security protocols;
  • Cooperate with Event staff, venue personnel, and volunteers; and
  • Respect others’ physical and personal boundaries.

2. Prohibited Conduct

Unacceptable behavior includes, but is not limited to:

  • Harassment of any kind, including verbal, visual, physical, or sexual conduct that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment;
  • Sexual misconduct, including unwelcome advances, suggestive comments, or inappropriate physical contact;
  • Discrimination, including offensive behavior or slurs based on race, gender, sexual orientation, age, religion, disability, or any protected status;
  • Bullying or abuse, including threats, personal attacks, or intentional disruption of sessions or activities;
  • Unauthorized recording or photography of individuals or protected content without consent;
  • Tampering with Credentials, materials, or Event infrastructure; or
  • Retaliation against anyone reporting a concern in good faith.

3. “See Something, Say Something”; Reporting Misconduct

The Organizer encourages a culture of accountability, where all Participants are empowered to help maintain a safe and respectful Event environment.

If you experience or witness any conduct that appears to violate this Code of Conduct, we ask that you say something—whether on your own behalf or on behalf of someone else. Even small concerns can help prevent larger issues.

You can report misconduct in the following ways:

  • Notify any Event staff member or volunteer onsite;
  • Visit the nearest help desk or designated Code of Conduct contact point;
  • Email us confidentially at conduct@ai.engineer; or.
  • Use the Event app’s incident reporting feature (if available).

All reports will be handled discreetly, and confidentiality will be maintained to the extent possible. You may report anonymously, though doing so may limit our ability to follow up.

4. Enforcement

The Organizer reserves the right to take any action deemed appropriate in response to violations of this Code of Conduct, including but not limited to:

  • Issuing warnings (verbal or written);
  • Revoking Event Credentials without refund;
  • Removing individuals from the premises;
  • Banning individuals from future Events; or
  • Reporting incidents to law enforcement or third parties as necessary.

All decisions regarding enforcement are made at the sole discretion of the Organizer and are final.

5. No Retaliation

Retaliation against any person who reports a violation, provides information during an investigation, or opposes conduct prohibited by this policy is strictly prohibited and may be grounds for removal or permanent exclusion from future Events.

6. Acknowledgment

By attending or participating in the Event, all Participants agree to abide by this Code of Conduct. Failure to comply may result in disciplinary action, including loss of access to the Event without refund or liability.
